Redmi Note 17 5G: Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 5G in India, expanding its popular Note series with a smartphone that focuses on battery life, display quality and long-term software support.

The new handset arrives with an 8,000mAh battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS based on Android 16.

Available in two storage variants, the Redmi Note 17 5G also comes with launch offers that reduce its effective starting price below 25,000, making it one of the company’s most competitive mid-range smartphones. 

Redmi Note 17 5G Price in India

The Redmi Note 17 5G has launched in India in two RAM and storage variants. The 6GB + 128GB model is priced at ₹27,999, while the 8GB + 128GB variant costs ₹30,999.

As part of the launch offer, Xiaomi is providing an instant ₹3,000 discount on purchases made using SBI, Axis Bank and Kotak Bank credit cards. After the discount, the effective prices come down to ₹24,999 and ₹27,999, respectively.

Redmi Note 17 5G Sale Date & Availability

The smartphone will go on sale in India from 12 PM on August 13, 2026.

Customers will be able to purchase the handset through Amazon India, Xiaomi’s official online store and authorised Xiaomi retail outlets across the country.

Redmi Note 17 5G Colour Options

Xiaomi is offering the Redmi Note 17 5G in three colour options:

  • Arctic Blue
  • Starlight Purple
  • Dark Night

The Indian variant also gets a refreshed design with a premium finish that distinguishes it from earlier Redmi Note devices.

Redmi Note 17 5G Specifications

The Redmi Note 17 5G features a 6.9-inch TrueColour AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. The panel also supports a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while HydroTouch 2.0 improves touch responsiveness even when the screen is wet.

Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm architecture. The device comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage, while users can further expand the storage using a microSD card.

The handset ships with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, and Xiaomi has promised four years of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, offering longer software support than many competitors in the segment.

Redmi Note 17 5G Battery & Camera

One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi Note 17 5G is its 8,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver up to 2.5 days of usage on a single charge. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging as well as 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other smartphones.

For photography, the smartphone sports a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP AI primary camera, accompanied by a secondary sensor. On the front, it houses an 8MP selfie camera capable of handling video calls and social media photography.

Redmi Note 17 5G Software & Other Features

The smartphone comes with an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance and features a vapour chamber cooling system to improve thermal performance during gaming and multitasking.

With HyperOS 3, Xiaomi has introduced several AI-powered software features, improved animations and better system optimisation, aiming to deliver a smoother day-to-day experience.
