Just days before Samsung’s first major launch event of the year, fresh leaks have shifted expectations around the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. While fans anticipated major hardware upgrades, new promotional material suggests that Samsung may stick to familiar battery and camera specifications this year.

The company will officially unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 on February 25 in San Francisco. However, early leaks circulating online indicate that the Ultra model may not deliver the dramatic improvements many users expected.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to Skip 2 Major Upgrades?

According to leaked marketing slides shared online, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may retain the same battery capacity and camera hardware as its predecessor. If true, this would mark a conservative approach from Samsung in a segment where competitors continue to push aggressive hardware upgrades.

The renders also show the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ alongside the Ultra model, hinting at a familiar design language. The leaks suggest Samsung will focus more on software enhancements and performance tuning rather than radical hardware changes.

However, it is important to remember that these details come from unofficial sources, and Samsung has not confirmed them yet.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Battery Capacity

One of the biggest talking points is the battery. The leak claims the Galaxy S26 Ultra will continue using a 5,000mAh battery, the same capacity seen on the previous Ultra model.

Samsung reportedly keeps wired charging speeds unchanged as well. The device may charge from zero to 75 per cent in about 30 minutes. Marketing material mentions up to 31 hours of video playback, which again mirrors last year’s figures.

This move could disappoint buyers who expected a bigger battery, especially since some rival Android flagship phones now offer batteries between 6,000mAh and 7,000mAh. Many users hoped Samsung would boost both battery size and charging speed in 2026.

That said, Samsung may rely on better power optimisation from its new processor to deliver improved real-world endurance without increasing battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera Specs: What’s new?

Another major area that appears unchanged is the camera setup. The leak suggests Samsung will retain the same rear camera configuration:

  • 200-megapixel primary sensor
  • 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera
  • 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom
  • 50-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x zoom
  • The front camera is also tipped to remain a 12-megapixel sensor.

Samsung’s Ultra models traditionally lead in smartphone photography, so the lack of hardware upgrades may surprise some users. However, the company could introduce new AI-driven features to improve image processing and editing.

Leaked slides mention a “Private Display” feature that reduces screen visibility from side angles, helping protect user privacy in public spaces. There is also a reference to an AI-powered Photo Assist tool that enhances editing workflows using on-device intelligence.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Specs & Features: What to expect?

Despite conservative battery and camera updates, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may still bring notable improvements elsewhere. The device is tipped to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which should deliver faster performance and better efficiency.

Other expected specifications include:

  • 6.9-inch QHD+ M14 CoE Dynamic AMOLED display
  • Support for up to 60W fast charging
  • S Pen support
  • Premium titanium build

Samsung may continue offering the S Pen as a signature feature, keeping the Ultra model positioned as a productivity-focused flagship.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Price in India (Expected)

Pricing remains uncertain. Some reports suggest Samsung may keep the price close to its predecessor, which launched at around Rs 1,29,999 in India. However, a few leaks hint at a possible price hike.

Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S26 series during Galaxy Unpacked 2026. The livestream is scheduled to begin at 11:30 PM IST on February 25.

All eyes now turn to Samsung’s launch event. If the leaks prove accurate, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may focus more on refinement and software intelligence rather than headline-grabbing hardware upgrades. Whether that strategy satisfies premium buyers will become clear once Samsung makes everything official.
