The premium smartphone segment could soon get another strong contender as Vivo prepares to introduce its most advanced flagship device yet. The upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra has been showcased at the global technology event in Barcelona, signalling the brand’s plans to expand its high-end smartphone lineup.

The device attracted significant attention at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, where the company offered a closer look at the phone’s design and its powerful camera-focused accessories.

While Vivo has not officially confirmed the India launch timeline, industry sources indicate that the flagship device may arrive in the country in the coming quarter. If launched, the smartphone will become the first Ultra-branded Vivo flagship to be commercially available in India, marking a major shift in the company’s premium strategy.

Vivo X300 Ultra India Launch (Expected)

For several years, Vivo has mainly introduced its X-series flagship devices in India in Pro variants. However, the company now appears ready to bring the Ultra model as well, giving Indian consumers access to its most powerful smartphone.

Reports suggest the device could launch in India sometime in the next quarter. The move would allow Vivo to compete more aggressively with premium flagship devices from brands like Samsung and Xiaomi, which already offer high-end smartphones in the same segment.

Earlier this year, Vivo launched the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, and the Ultra variant is expected to become the top model in this series. Industry observers also believe the company could introduce additional flagship devices, including foldable smartphones, later this year.

Vivo X300 Ultra Camera & Zoom Technology (Expected)

Photography is expected to be the biggest highlight of the Vivo X300 Ultra. At the technology exhibition, Vivo demonstrated a unique accessory designed specifically for the phone’s camera system.

The device will support a Zeiss 400mm Telephoto Extender Kit, which is a detachable photography module that attaches to the phone and dramatically enhances zoom capabilities. According to the company, this accessory can deliver up to 17x optical zoom, bringing smartphone photography closer to the performance of professional cameras.

This new accessory builds on the 200mm tele extender kit that was previously introduced with the Vivo X300 Pro. Vivo has indicated that both accessories will remain interchangeable, allowing users to switch between them depending on their photography needs. The entire photography kit, including the extender module and supporting accessories, is also expected to be launched in India alongside the smartphone.

Vivo X300 Ultra Design & Camera Accessories (Expected)

Although the device was not available for hands-on testing at the event, Vivo provided a detailed visual showcase of the smartphone. The design of the X300 Ultra largely resembles its predecessor but introduces a refreshed white colour option and a more prominent camera module. The large rear camera system highlights the phone’s focus on professional-grade photography.

The photography kit also includes a dedicated protective case with a built-in mount for the telephoto extender. This design improves grip and balance when capturing photos or recording videos with the extended lens attached. Such accessories are expected to make the smartphone particularly attractive to mobile photographers and content creators.

Vivo X300 Ultra Video Recording Capabilities (Expected)

Apart from still photography, the smartphone is also designed to deliver powerful video performance. During the showcase at Mobile World Congress 2026, Vivo presented several 4K videos recorded at 120 frames per second using the device.

The sample footage highlighted the phone’s ability to capture smooth motion and detailed visuals even in challenging conditions. This strong video capability suggests the X300 Ultra could become a preferred device for creators who rely on smartphones for professional-level video production.

Vivo X300 Ultra Specifications (Expected)

While the company has not yet revealed the complete specification sheet, several industry leaks have hinted at powerful hardware inside the upcoming flagship. The smartphone is expected to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera sensor for high-resolution photography.

In addition to this, the device could include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens designed for advanced zoom performance.

The phone may run on a next-generation flagship chipset from Qualcomm, likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This chip could deliver faster performance, improved gaming capability and better power efficiency.

Other expected features include a large 6.82-inch 2K OLED display with high brightness levels and a massive 7,000mAh battery designed to support long usage times.

What to Expect Next?

The unveiling of the Vivo X300 Ultra at Mobile World Congress 2026 suggests that Vivo is preparing to enter the ultra-premium smartphone segment more aggressively. With advanced camera hardware, innovative zoom accessories and powerful flagship specifications, the device could become one of the most feature-rich smartphones launched this year.

If the expected India launch in the next quarter materialises, the X300 Ultra may significantly strengthen Vivo’s position in the premium smartphone market and offer users a powerful new option for photography, video recording and high-performance mobile computing.
