The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination took place between January 21 and January 29 as a computer-based assessment that occurred in two separate shifts, which began at 9 AM and ended at 12 Noon, and resumed at 3 PM until 6 PM. The BE/BTech exams were held from January 21 to January 28. The test paper presented a moderately difficult level of difficulty according to both experts and candidates who took the exam because of the existing differences in exam shifts.
JEE Main 2026 scores will be used for admission to undergraduate programmes such as BE, BTech, BArch, and BPlanning in government and private institutions. Other central and state organisations may also use the scores as per their eligibility rules.
No results will be subject to re-evaluation or re-checking. The results of candidates who engaged in unfair means practices under the UMP system or who impersonated others or took multiple attempts in one session will be nullified.
