Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will release the 39th instalment of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana on Wednesday, August 19. The payment will reach the bank accounts of more than 1.25 crore eligible women through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The state-level programme is being organised in Maihar, where the government is expected to disburse more than Rs 2,148 crore under the latest payment cycle.
How Much Will Women Receive Under Ladli Behna Yojana?
Eligible beneficiaries will receive Rs 1,750 each this month.
The payment includes:
• Rs 1,500 as the regular monthly assistance
• Rs 250 as a special Raksha Bandhan benefit
The regular instalment accounts for around Rs 1,835.46 crore of the total disbursement, while the additional festival payment amounts to Rs 312.83 crore. CM Yadav announced the additional Rs 250 payment as a Raksha Bandhan gift for beneficiaries.
When Will The Ladli Behna Yojana Payment Be Credited?
The 39th instalment is being transferred on August 19, 2026. Beneficiaries whose bank accounts are correctly linked for DBT should receive the amount directly. Women are advised to ensure that their bank accounts are Aadhaar-linked and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer to avoid payment-related issues.
How Can Beneficiaries Check Ladli Behna Yojana Payment Status?
Beneficiaries can check whether the instalment has been credited through the official Ladli Behna Yojana portal. After opening the portal, women need to select the “Application and Payment Status” option and enter the required details to view their payment information.
What Development Projects Will Be Announced In Maihar?
Apart from releasing the women’s welfare payment, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several development projects in Maihar. The projects being taken up during the programme have a combined estimated value of around Rs 256 crore.
When Was The Ladli Behna Yojana Launched?
The Madhya Pradesh government launched the Ladli Behna Yojana in June 2023 with the objective of improving women’s financial independence and strengthening their role in household decision making. With the latest instalment, the government will have transferred more than Rs 63,248 crore to beneficiaries since the scheme began.
The state Cabinet has also approved a long-term allocation of Rs 1,14,365 crore for the scheme between the 2026-27 and 2030-31 financial years. For 2026-27 alone, Rs 23,882.81 crore has been earmarked for the programme.
