American YouTuber Nico Grigg has triggered massive online curiosity after posting videos about getting close to Jeffrey Epstein's infamous Little St. James island and then claiming that mysterious black SUVs began appearing outside his home days later.
The story blends viral stunt culture, unresolved questions around Epstein's legacy, and social media speculation, making it one of the most talked-about influencer controversies right now.
Nico Grigg is a 20-year-old Florida-based YouTuber and social media influencer best known for prank and adventure videos that frequently go viral online. He first gained attention on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube for content such as crashing video chats and public-facing stunts, building a large following across multiple channels where subscribers number in the millions.
Grigg’s online presence spans numerous platforms, including two YouTube channels with combined subscribers exceeding 5 million, and strong followings on TikTok, X and Instagram. His handle, @nicoiscold, has become widely recognised among younger audiences.
Nico Grigg operates two highly popular YouTube channels — NicoGrigg and NicoLive. His main channel, Nico, has over 3.2 million subscribers and features prank videos, high-risk stunts, and real-world challenges that often blur the line between comedy and controversy. His second channel, NicoLive, has more than 2.4 million subscribers and focuses on extended clips, behind-the-scenes footage, and uncensored content.
Before the Epstein Island video, Nico was already known for viral Omegle crashes, Zoom intrusions, and public pranks. However, his Little St. James stunt marked a noticeable shift from light-hearted pranks to darker, investigative-style content, bringing him unprecedented attention and mainstream scrutiny.
While Nico Grigg has not publicly disclosed his finances, estimates based on YouTube ad revenue, brand deals, and social media monetisation place his net worth between $500,000 and $1 million. His earnings mainly come from YouTube ads, sponsorships, and platform bonuses tied to viral engagement.
The recent spike in views and followers is likely to further increase his income.
In late January 2026, Grigg and a group of friends travelled to the US Virgin Islands with the explicit goal of filming near Little St. James — the 72-acre private island once owned by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Although Epstein died in 2019, the island has remained privately owned and restricted.
In a video posted to YouTube titled “I Snuck Onto Jeffrey Epstein’s Island,” Grigg documented the group using a drone to scout the island, spotting structures and activity from the air before attempting to approach by jet ski. He said that before reaching the shore, he saw what appeared to be people watching from a distance.
Grigg claimed that as he neared the island, a woman inside one of the buildings appeared to notice him, possibly took photographs and may have alerted authorities. He also said he had footage that looked like the Coast Guard following them as they left the area. Because of sea urchin stings, Grigg said he could not venture farther once he touched the shoreline.
Despite not fully reaching the island’s interior, the video quickly gained millions of views, drawing a mixture of curiosity and controversy.
Days after uploading his Epstein Island video, Nico Grigg posted a follow-up clip on TikTok, later reshared on Instagram, claiming that blacked-out Escalade SUVs had been parked outside his home repeatedly. The video immediately raised alarm among fans and fueled intense speculation online.
In the clip, Nico said:
“It’s been just three days since I posted this video of me sneaking onto Jeffrey Epstein’s Island. Every day since I’ve been home, there have been blacked-out Escalade trucks sitting outside my house. I’m not sure what they want or who they are, but I’m posting this here now just in case anything happens.”
Toward the end of the video, he appeared visibly uneasy and speculated about who might be behind the vehicles. He added:
“For all I know, this could be Jeffrey Epstein’s friends. If I piss** anyone off, I apologise, and I want this all to be over.”
The post quickly went viral, crossing 835,000 likes and thousands of comments, with users debating whether the SUVs were private security, law enforcement, coincidence, or an exaggeration amplified for views. Some urged Nico to contact authorities, while others accused him of dramatizing the situation to extend the lifespan of his viral moment.
As of now, no official confirmation has emerged regarding the identity of the vehicles, and Nico has not publicly stated that he filed a police report. Still, the claim added a chilling twist to the Epstein Island narrative and pushed the story beyond social media stunts into broader public conversation.
Little St. James remains one of the most controversial private islands in the world due to its connection to Epstein. Even years after his death in 2019, the island continues to attract global attention, especially following recent document releases tied to Epstein’s network.
The island is now privately owned and heavily restricted, making any attempt to approach it legally risky.
Public reaction has been sharply divided. Supporters praise Nico for exposing what they see as a “hidden” location, while critics accuse him of reckless behaviour and manufacturing drama for views.
Social media users have flooded comment sections with theories—ranging from government surveillance to private security intimidation—despite a lack of confirmed facts.
At its core, the viral story combines three powerful elements: Epstein-related intrigue, influencer risk-taking, and alleged real-world consequences. The mix has proven irresistible to online audiences, pushing Nico’s name into trending searches across platforms.
Nico has suggested that the situation made him uncomfortable and possibly fearful, though he has not confirmed receiving direct threats. As of now, no police complaint or official investigation has been publicly reported.
Whether the SUVs were coincidental, misinterpreted, or something more serious remains unclear. What is certain is that Nico Grigg’s Epstein Island stunt has escalated from a YouTube video into a full-blown viral controversy.
