When Is The NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Result?
The Round 1 seat allotment result will be released on August 19, 2026. The allotment will be based on candidates’ NEET UG merit, the choices submitted and the availability of seats. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective institutes between August 20 and 25, 2026.
How To Fill And Lock Choices For NEET UG Counselling 2026?
Candidates must select their preferred courses and medical colleges during the choice-filling process. After entering their preferences, they must save and lock their choices within the deadline. The choice-locking deadline is August 17 at 6 pm. Candidates should carefully review their preferences before locking them, as the submitted choices will be considered for seat allotment.
What Happens After NEET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment?
Candidates who receive a seat in Round 1 can proceed with the allotted seat according to the options available to them, including freezing or opting for upgradation. Those who do not receive a seat in Round 1 can participate in the subsequent counselling rounds, subject to the applicable rules. Under the revised rules, candidates who opt for upgradation do not need to physically report to the allotted institute at this stage.
