Details Mentioned on the NIFT Scorecard

The final scorecard contains key information that candidates will need during counselling and admission. These include the candidate’s name, roll number, category, marks obtained in CAT and GAT, Stage 2 assessment scores, Common Merit Rank (CMR), category rank, qualifying status and important counselling instructions.

Among these, the Common Merit Rank holds significant importance as it determines a candidate’s position in the counselling and seat allotment process.

Counselling to Determine Final Admission

Following the result announcement, NIFT will begin its centralised counselling process for eligible candidates. During counselling, applicants will be able to choose their preferred courses and campuses based on their merit rank, category and the availability of seats.

Admissions will be offered across 20 NIFT campuses located in different regions of the country. Candidates are advised to keep all required documents ready and closely monitor official announcements regarding counselling registration, schedules and seat allocation rounds. The counselling process will serve as the final step for securing admission to NIFT’s academic session for 2026.
