The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key soon on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Along with the answer key, candidates will also be able to access their recorded responses and question papers. After the answer key is released, NTA will open a window for candidates to raise objections before publishing the final answer key and declaring the UGC NET 2026 result. The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30, while a re-examination for the June 22 paper at a Jalandhar exam centre was held on July 5, 2026.
How Can Candidates Download The UGC NET 2026 Answer Key?
Once released, candidates can visit the official UGC NET website and log in using their application details.
They will be able to download:
•   Provisional answer key
•   Question paper
•   Recorded responses
Candidates are advised to save a copy of their response sheet for future reference.
How Can Candidates Challenge The Answer Key?
NTA will provide an opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key if candidates find any discrepancies. Candidates must submit valid proof and justification while raising objections. A non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question will be charged for every challenge submitted. Only challenges submitted online during the specified period along with the required fee will be considered.
According to NTA, the provisional answer key, recorded responses and question paper are expected to remain available for two to three days. Candidates should complete the objection process within the prescribed timeline, as no challenges will be accepted after the window closes.
What Happens After The Objection Process?
All objections received will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts. Based on their recommendations, NTA will prepare and publish the final answer key. The UGC NET June 2026 result will be prepared using only the final answer key. NTA has also clarified that no grievances regarding the answer key will be accepted after the result is declared.
