The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key challenge window today, August 18, according to the official schedule. Candidates who appeared for the examination can view their response sheets and attempted question papers and raise objections through the official UGC NET portal. The objection window opened on August 16 and will remain available until August 18, 2026.
How Can Candidates Challenge The UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key?
Candidates can access the provisional answer key and response sheet through the official UGC NET portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The challenge link is also available through the NTA’s official website. Applicants who find discrepancies in the provisional answer key can submit an objection along with a valid justification and supporting evidence. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged has to be paid.
What Is The Last Date To Challenge The UGC NET Answer Key?
The last date to submit objections is August 18, 2026. The NTA has clarified that only challenges submitted through the prescribed objection window within the stipulated deadline and accompanied by the required fee will be considered. Challenges submitted without proper justification or supporting evidence, after the deadline, or through any other medium will not be accepted.
How Many UGC NET Subjects Have Answer Keys Been Released For?
The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted for 87 subjects. As of now, provisional answer keys and challenge links have been released for 84 subjects. The remaining three subjects English, Commerce and Sociology will be conducted again in September.
The NTA has scheduled the UGC NET re-examination for English, Commerce and Sociology on September 9 and 10, 2026. Candidates appearing for these subjects should follow the NTA’s official announcements for further details.
How Will Challenges Affect The UGC NET Final Answer Key?
The NTA will review the objections with the help of subject experts. If a challenge is accepted, the resulting correction will be applied uniformly to all candidates who appeared for that subject. After considering the challenges, the NTA will prepare the final answer key. The UGC NET June 2026 result will be prepared on the basis of this final answer key.
