The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional UGC NET June 2026 answer key for 84 subjects. Candidates who appeared for the June session can now check the provisional answers along with their recorded responses through the official UGC NET website.
The objection window is open from August 16 to August 18, 2026, allowing candidates to challenge any answer they believe is incorrect. The deadline to submit objections is 11:59 PM on August 18.

Candidates can challenge the provisional answer key by following these steps:
1. Â Â Visit the official UGC NET website at ugc.nta.nic.in.
2. Â Â Open the link for the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key or answer key challenge.
3. Â Â Log in using the required credentials.
4. Â Â Check the provisional answer key and recorded responses.
5. Â Â Select the question for which an objection is to be raised.
6. Â Â Provide the required supporting details.
7. Â Â Pay the processing fee of Rs 200 per question through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.
8. Â Â Review the challenge and submit it.

What Is The UGC NET Answer Key Objection Fee?
Candidates are required to pay Rs 200 for each question challenged. NTA has stated that the processing fee will be refunded in full if the challenge is accepted by the subject experts.
If a challenge is accepted, the resulting correction will be applied uniformly to all candidates appearing for that subject. Therefore, candidates do not need to submit the same objection more than once.
What Happens After The UGC NET Answer Key Challenge Window?
After the objection window closes, NTA will review the challenges with the help of subject experts and finalise the answer key. No challenge or grievance regarding the answer key will be considered after the objection window closes or after the result is declared. The provisional answer keys for English, Commerce and Sociology will be addressed separately later today, according to the latest NTA notice.
