About UPSC’s NDA 2 Exam
The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), commonly referred to as UPSC NDA 2, is a national-level entrance test conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for entry into the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy, in addition to the Indian Naval Academy Course.
The written exam is divided into two papers: Mathematics and the General Ability Test (GAT). Mathematics comprises 120 questions worth 300 marks, whereas the GAT includes 150 questions totaling 600 marks. Both papers are objective in nature, with each paper given a duration of 2.5 hours. The Mathematics paper is scheduled first, running from 10 AM to 12:30 PM, and the GAT follows from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.
