Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a joint credit camp for the Gorakhpur and Basti divisions under the Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to young entrepreneurs, supporting the state’s broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship.
During his address at the event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the importance of the program, stating, “With inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP’s double-engine government has launched a major campaign to develop 10 lakh new entrepreneurs across the nation. The Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Yojana was introduced on January 24, 2025, and in the one-and-a-quarter months since its launch, the scheme has made remarkable progress.”
Providing an update on the scheme’s implementation, he further shared, “We have so far received 2,50,793 applications. Out of these, one lakh applications have already been forwarded to banks. A total loan amount of Rs 931 crore has been sanctioned for 24,000 Indians, and Rs 400 crore has been disbursed to 10,500 beneficiaries.”
Meanwhile, in a significant step towards ensuring that every child in Uttar Pradesh receives timely immunization, the Yogi government has introduced digital training programs for staff nurses, auxiliary nurse midwives (ANMs), and health visitors. This training, facilitated through the Rapid Immunization Skill Enhancement (RISE) app, is designed to enhance the capabilities of health workers in vaccination program monitoring, session management, vaccine safety, cold chain maintenance, and managing adverse effects following immunization.
Additionally, the training aims to equip health workers with the skills to track and counsel families hesitant about vaccinating their children, thereby improving immunization coverage across the state. State Immunization Officer Dr. Ajay Gupta emphasized that the initiative seeks to strengthen the efficiency and expertise of health workers engaged in routine immunization.
“This app is a crucial tool for capacity-building among vaccinators, keeping them updated on evolving guidelines and the integration of new technologies in immunization efforts,” he explained.
Dr. Gupta also highlighted that the app was initially introduced as a pilot project in 181 districts nationwide, where it demonstrated remarkable effectiveness. Given its success, it has now been implemented across Uttar Pradesh, with district-level officers in all 75 districts having completed their training.
Currently, the focus is on training block-level officers. Once fully implemented, the initiative will benefit approximately 52,175 vaccinators, significantly improving immunization outreach and operational efficiency.
The key objective is to ensure that health workers engaged in vaccination efforts receive real-time updates on new guidelines and technological advancements, facilitating more effective and timely immunization drives.
Traditionally, delays in training dissemination have slowed down the implementation of crucial updates. However, with the introduction of the RISE app, information can now be rapidly and directly conveyed to health workers, greatly enhancing real-time learning and execution.
Dr. Ajay Gupta further explained that the training program is structured into five comprehensive modules. Trainers completing their training through the app will, in turn, train vaccinators on each module at 15-day intervals.
To evaluate the effectiveness of the training, participants will undergo assessments both before and after the sessions. Based on their performance, those scoring between 85-100% will receive a Gold Certificate, while those scoring between 70-85% will be awarded a Silver Certificate.
