PM Modi inspects Adampur Air base, Shatters Pakistan’s Propaganda on Damages

Jalandhar: In a resounding expression of solidarity with the armed forces and a straight rebuff to Pakistani propaganda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an unexpected visit to the Adampur Air Force Station early Monday morning. The base, one of four IAF bases hit by Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes during the evening of May 9-10, was reportedly falsely reported by Pakistani media and military sources as having been subjected to “extensive damage.

The visit of the Prime Minister, followed by Air Chief Marshal A P Singh, successfully shattered Pakistan’s propaganda. Images posted from the visit indicated that the airbase was operating in full swing with high morale. The Prime Minister met the air warriors and ground crew who played a pivotal role in Operation Sindoor — India’s targeted air strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on May 7.

During the interaction with the staff, the Prime Minister was updated on the planning and conduct of the operation. The experience was “very special,” he said, and he complimented the armed forces for their “courage, determination and fearlessness.” On a social media post, he wrote, “India is forever indebted to our armed forces for all they do for our country.”

While speaking to the soldiers, the atmosphere was filled with shouts of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.” The visit served a twofold purpose—India stands together with its soldiers, and any attempts by Pakistan to deceive the world regarding the success of its overnight attacks would not be countered.

Pakistani official and state-run media had aired videos and reports indicating that Adampur Air Base was “crippled” and vital infrastructure damaged. The Prime Minister’s visit to the air base, meeting fully alert personnel, provided undisputable visual proof of the intactness of the base and the ineffectiveness of Pakistan’s attacks in accomplishing any real military target.

Sources within the security establishment stated that Pakistan’s strike was symbolic and intended for domestic optics after it had been set back in Operation Sindoor. The Indian response continued to be aimed at neutralizing terror threats without spreading into civilian areas — a contrast brought out through the precision of Operation Sindoor and restraint thereafter.

The PM’s visit was widely seen as a morale booster for the forces and a message to the international community that India’s military infrastructure remains robust and vigilant. It also underlined New Delhi’s resolve to counter both cross-border terrorism and the misinformation campaigns that often follow military confrontations.
