New Delhi: The Yogi government is taking a significant step towards transforming Uttar Pradesh into an “Udyam Pradesh” by setting up industrial units under the UP Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (UPIMLC) initiative. To facilitate this, the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has started allotting logistics and industrial plots in Unnao, Hardoi, and Sambhal.
Entrepreneurs can now apply for plots of over 11.36 hectares in Unnao and 1.2 hectares each in Sambhal and Hardoi. These plots come with world-class infrastructure, including seamless connectivity, round-the-clock power supply, dedicated water resources, efficient drainage systems, and sewage treatment plants (STP), creating a strong industrial ecosystem.
As part of the UPIMLC project, UPEIDA is developing industrial corridors along five expressways, enabling the establishment of 29 self-sufficient Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLCs) at key locations. These clusters will feature advanced social infrastructure, ensuring smooth road, rail, and air connectivity for freight movement while fostering a competitive industrial environment.
In total, 33 IMLCs will be developed across 30 districts in Uttar Pradesh. In the current phase, land allotment applications have been invited for Unnao, Sambhal, and Hardoi, with plans to extend the process to other clusters soon.
The clusters in Unnao, Sambhal, and Hardoi have been strategically positioned near the Ganga Expressway for optimal connectivity. The Unnao IMLC will cover 135.26 hectares, with a base allotment rate of Rs 5,010 per square meter. This cluster enjoys excellent connectivity to the Ganga Expressway, Lucknow-Kanpur Highway, Sonic Railway Station, Unnao Railway Station, and Lucknow International Airport.
In Sambhal, the base allotment rate is set at Rs 4,640 per square meter. This cluster will be well-connected to the Ganga Expressway via the Gajraula Highway through Sambhal-Anupshahar Road and its connecting routes, along with Hatim Sarai Railway Station.
For the Hardoi cluster, the base allotment rate is Rs 3,105 per square meter. This industrial zone will have strong connectivity to the Ganga Expressway, Farrukhabad-Hardoi State Highway, Shahabad Railway Station, and Hardoi Railway Station.
All these clusters will feature well-planned road networks, uninterrupted power supply, dedicated water infrastructure, drainage, and STP facilities. Entrepreneurs looking to acquire plots in these industrial zones can submit applications through the Nivesh Mitra portal.
