Redmi is preparing to launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in India, adding a new performance-focused smartphone to its lineup. The device is expected to attract gamers, heavy users, and buyers who are looking for flagship-level performance at a more affordable price. The Redmi Turbo 5 is scheduled to launch on June 16 and will compete with smartphones from brands like iQOO and OnePlus in the performance segment.

Redmi Turbo 5 Camera Specifications Revealed

Ahead of the launch, Redmi has confirmed the camera setup of the Redmi Turbo 5 for the Indian market. The smartphone will feature a 50MP primary rear camera with both Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) support. It will also include an 8MP ultra-wide camera for capturing wider shots.

For selfies and video calls, the device will come with a 20MP front-facing camera. Interestingly, these camera specifications are identical to the Redmi Turbo 5 variant already launched in China, suggesting that the Indian version could be a rebranded model.

MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Chipset for High Performance

Redmi has also confirmed that the Turbo 5 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor. The chipset is designed to deliver smooth gaming and fast multitasking performance.

The upcoming smartphone will support up to 24GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, which includes 12GB of virtual RAM. It will also feature UFS 4.1 storage for faster app loading and data transfer speeds.

However, Redmi has clarified that the 24GB RAM option will only be available on the top-end variant. The company has not yet revealed which storage configuration will get this feature.

New White Colour Variant Confirmed

Redmi has also showcased a white colour option for the Turbo 5. The design includes red accents around the camera module, while the Redmi branding on the back is also highlighted in red, giving the phone a sporty appearance.

Redmi Turbo 5 India Launch

The Redmi Turbo 5 will officially launch in India on June 16. Once unveiled, the smartphone will be available for purchase through Amazon India and the official Redmi India website.
