A few days ago, a deadly fire erupted in Southern California and quickly blazed through over 2000 acres in Los Angeles county. Now authorities have contained the fire by 31% and also lifted evacuation warnings in some zones.

The fire in Southern California’s Los Angeles County quickly made headlines after it led to the burning of over 2271 acres and destroyed a structure.
Now, some progress has been made, as the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD) have successfully contained the fire by 31%. Firefighters also stopped the forward progress of the Summit Fire and as a result, all evacuation orders were lifted.

Yesterday, a fire erupted, also called the Summit Fire, at the junction of Jesus Canyon Road and East Avenue Z in the Antelope Valley community of Llano, Southern California. Authorities quickly rushed on site and evacuated nearby residents as well as animals. Now, the fire has spilled over into its second consecutive day.
California Fire Latest Update: Cause of the Fire
The fire, which originated in the Antelope Valley, was likely caused by a combination of factors including extensive dry bush vegetation, extreme triple digit heat and gusty desert wind. But the official cause will be declared once the investigation by the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACFD) concludes.

Initially, the fire was confined to 8 acres however, it quickly spread to over 2271 acres. According to local crews, at least 1 structure has been destroyed.
The San Bernardino County, located next to the Los Angeles County was also placed on high alert, due to the rapidly spreading fire. No casualties have been reported so far. Currently, the fire is at 31% containment. The LACFD has warned that ongoing conditions in the area remain favourable for wildfire.
