Day 13 US–Israel–Iran War Latest News:  The Israeli military has said that it was behind the airstrike on the Zrariyeh bridge that spans the Litani River in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli army, the bridge was being used by Hezbollah fighters as a key crossing point.

The officials said that the bridge had been used “as a central crossing” by Hezbollah fighters in recent times. In addition, missile launchers had been deployed near the bridge. This airstrike is part of the Israeli military operations against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

Israel Launches ‘Extensive Wave’ of Strikes on Tehran

The Israeli military also announced the beginning of a new “extensive wave” of airstrikes against Tehran, the capital of Iran. The strikes represent an escalation in the ongoing regional conflict that has spilled over beyond Israel and Lebanon.

The Israeli military also issued forced evacuation orders in a renewed attack in the region near Beirut, the capital city of Lebanon. The moves appear to indicate an escalation in the military operations in the region.

Iran’s New Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Issues First Warning

The newly appointed Supreme Leader in Iran by the name Mojtaba Khamenei has issued his first statement since he replaced his father who was killed in the earlier attacks. In his statement, Mojtaba Khamenei stated that countries that have American bases in the region should close them. He stated that the attacks could continue if the bases are still active.

US–Israel–Iran War: Saudi Arabia Intercepts Drones Near Riyadh

Meanwhile, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia said its air defense systems intercepted and shot down eight drones over the central and eastern regions of the country, including over the capital city of Riyadh. The interceptions came as the kingdom said they highlighted the increasing security challenges facing the region as the conflict escalates.

US–Israel–Iran War: UN Reports 3.2 Million People Displaced in Iran

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees stated that a major humanitarian crisis is occurring inside Iran. According to the UNHCR, a total of 3.2 million people have been displaced since the war began on the 28th of February. This is due to attacks by the United States and Israel.  The increasing number of displaced citizens shows the escalating cost of the war, which is now entering its second week.

Donald Trump Says War in Iran Is ‘Coming Along Very Well’

Meanwhile, as the conflict enters its 14th day, Donald Trump, the President of the United States, made comments about the situation during an event at the White House. “War in Iran that’s coming along very well.” The comments were made while military operations and retaliatory attacks are ongoing in the Middle East.

US–Israel–Iran War: Over 100 US Soldiers Reportedly Injured in Kuwait Base Attack

New information has been released regarding an earlier Iranian attack on a US military base in Kuwait. Initially, it was reported that seven personnel of the United States National Guard were injured during the attack and later succumbed to their injuries.

However, updated information indicates that over 100, and possibly up to 150, US military personnel were also injured during the attack.

The injured personnel were airlifted to three military hospitals, two of which are located in the United States, and one located in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. The soldiers sent to Germany are reported to have suffered severe injuries, with one of them requiring an amputation.

The disclosure that dozens more soldiers were injured has sparked debate over why the US military did not reveal the actual facts about the incident earlier. The facts were revealed nearly two weeks after the attack, sparking debate over transparency regarding the attack and the injuries suffered by US soldiers in Kuwait.
