Epstein Files: The testimony of Hillary Clinton in the current Jeffrey Epstein investigation was temporarily suspended when a photo of the closed-door meeting was released on social media. This is a high-profile addition to the congressional inquiry into the Epstein network of associates with both Hillary and former President Bill Clinton being questioned by the House Oversight Committee on whether they too are connected to Epstein and his associates.
Hillary Clinton’s testimony on the Epstein Files was postponed after a photo of a meeting leaked. The government claimed that the leak of the photo broke confidentiality and that the testimony had to be postponed to avoid further leaks.
Hillary Clinton born in 1947 and the 67th Secretary of State of the United States (2009-2013) and the Democratic nominee to become the 45th president of the United States of America in 2016. She was also a U.S Senator representing New York between the years 2001 and 2009 and has been a very well known figure in American politics, law and diplomacy.
The recent stage of the Epstein case is devoted to his circle of high profile acquaintances and the ways in which Epstein evaded federal charges over the decades. In 2019, Epstein was charged with sex trafficking of minors at a federal court and died shortly after in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center. Congress is exploring relationships between Epstein, Maxwell and powerful people, including the Clintons.
The depositions will be arranged at the home of the Clintons in Chappaqua, New York because of their schedules. The hearings of Hillary and Bill Clinton will start at 11 a.m. local time on February 26 and February 27, respectively.
As per the reports, Hillary Clinton is most frequently mentioned with reference to her 2016 presidential campaign, whereas Bill Clinton is hundreds of times mentioned in flight logs, correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell and photographs. Other sources contain baseless claims of sexual misconduct, both Clintons have refuted it numerous times.
Hillary Clinton claimed that she never had any conversation with Epstein and has barely encountered Maxwell. Bill Clinton insists that his trips recorded with Epstein were connected with the nonprofit activities. They both have charged the Trump administration with the act of selectively redacting or withholding documents which they want to see in full.
Hillary described how she has been fighting against human trafficking, forced labor and sexual slavery over the decades. She referred to the supervision of approximately 170 anti-trafficking initiatives in 70 countries as well as highlighted how she signed the federal anti-trafficking legislation during her time as both the First Lady and Secretary of State.
Although she refuses to admit any criminal acts, Hillary is still involved in Epstein-related documents mainly because of campaign and public appearances. Bill Clinton has a more extensive record of socializing with Epstein, however, both of them claim that they only got to know each other on a professional or social basis, rather than a criminal one.
Rep. James Comer, the chair of the committee, stressed that the testimony of the Clintons is the key to knowing about the Epstein trafficking system and related to the enhancement of U.S. anti-trafficking legislation. The Republicans in the committee also promoted resolutions to contempt the Clintons because they failed to respond to subpoenas.
The two depositions had initially been scheduled to be held in October 2025, but were rescheduled to December and January dates, because of conflicts of time and other deferments. Subpoenas were reissued to follow-ups after Hillary and Bill Clinton failed to appear on the original dates of deposition.
The video and transcript will subsequently be made available in archives of House Oversight Committee, with release under rules of federal regulations and possible redactions.
