Essex County Council elections 2026 results were declared with the major wins of Reform UK in Multiple Chelmsford Divisions as Conservative lost the ground.

Essex County Council Election Results Live:  Voters across Chelmsford cast their ballots in the 2026 Essex County Council elections on Thursday, May 7. After polling stations closed at 10 pm, ballot boxes from divisions across Chelmsford were transported to the Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre, where overnight counting began.

Following several hours of counting, the first official result was declared from Chelmsford Central at 3:02 am on Friday morning.
