FreshPoint Chicken Sandwich Recall: Florida based FreshPoint has launched a recall for its cranberry chicken salad wedge sandwiches after it was found that they contain undisclosed eggs. They can cause serious or potentially life threatening allergic reactions among consumers.  The recalled sandwiches were sold through convenience stores under the Created Fresh brand.

FreshPoint Chicken Sandwiches Recall: Details of the Recall

Florida based food manufacturer FreshPoint recently initiated a voluntary recall for 103 units of its cranberry chicken salad wedge sandwiches product over concerns that they may contain an undisclosed egg allergen.

The cranberry chicken salad wedge sandwiches are sold via convenience retail stores in 2 US states – Florida and Georgia. The products have the UPC code 766375109617. Affected lot codes include the use by dates from  9/3/2026 to 9/17/2026. They are packaged in transparent plastic packages and the Use by Date is printed on the clear plastic container.

FreshPoint Chicken Sandwiches Recall: Why Did the Recall Happen?

FreshPoint Central Florida, Inc. recalled 1,093 of its Created Fresh! Cranberry Chicken Salad Wedge Sandwiches due to an egg allergen that was not properly declared. The problem came to light during an internal review of the label by the federal health agency Food and Drug administration (FDA).

Even though egg appeared in the product’s ingredient list, it was missing from the mandatory “Contains” allergen statement on the packaging. For individuals with an egg allergy or severe sensitivity, this could present a serious or even potentially life-threatening danger. According to the FDA, no reports of any illness have been reported from the recalled product yet. FreshPoint is working in coordination with the FDA as part of the ongoing investigation.
