High Street Brands Closing: Major UK High Street Brands have announced the closing of their stores across the UK. Retailers on the high street revealed the upcoming closing of stores, which also affects the hundreds of employees nationwide. Major brands include banks, fashion retailer – Phase Eight, and charity outlet British Heart Foundation. High Street Brands Closing: Phase Eight, TFG in the UK
The company behind Phase Eight, TFG, may close up to 400 branches. It has already confirmed the intentions to shut more than 100 locations that are struggling with business, as part of an extensive reorganisation scheme.
The confirmed store closures are the St. Andrews branch, having previously closed outlets in Dundee and Perth.
High Street Brands Closing: British Heart Foundation
The British Heart Foundation revealed its intentions to close its 150 shops. It is expected that the initial 90 premises will close permanently by March 2027, with the remainder to shut by the subsequent March.
The executives stated that the charity is confronting an “exceptionally challenging trading environment,” but they have pledged to maintain their “ground-breaking research.”Â
However, they will keep selling their products online, including through their official eBay page.
High Street Brands Closing: Morrisons
Morrisons has confirmed that 7 of its branches will close, with 93 more to follow. The supermarket, which operates over 2,200 outlets across the UK, and it recently disclosed plans to shut dozens of Morrisons Daily sites.
This decision has been taken due to the store being unprofitable for some time, despite various attempts to improve its performance.
However, one of the spokespersons said that the firm confirmed that staff who will be impacted by the closures of the store could be offered alternative positions within the company.
Around 100 of Morrisons’ stores are set to close. However, the company has confirmed that 7 Yorkshire outlets will be amongst those closing down.

High Street Brands Closing: Lloyds Banks
Several high street banks will also be shutting down some of their remaining branches. Lloyds Banking Group is preparing to close 79 additional branches, comprising 31 Lloyds Bank locations and 48 Halifax sites.
NatWest Group Branch Closing
On the other hand, NatWest Group will be permanently shutting 18 of its high street branches across the UK, including 12 NatWest premises in England and Wales and 6 Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) branches in Scotland.
