Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Tensions between the United States and Iran escalated further after US President Donald Trump suggested that American forces could attack Iran’s strategic Kharg Island again.

The remarks came a day after the United States carried out airstrikes on targets near the island, which plays a critical role in Iran’s oil exports. Trump claimed that American forces had severely damaged facilities there but said the operation avoided energy infrastructure to prevent long-term disruptions.

The statement has raised fresh concerns about the possibility of additional attacks in the Gulf region, where tensions have already intensified due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Trump Says US Could Strike the Island Again

Speaking after the reported strikes, Trump suggested that the United States might launch additional attacks on the island. “We demolished Kharg Island, but we may hit it a few more times just for fun.”

In a separate interview, he repeated his claim about the scale of the damage. “We’ve totally decimated it,” the president said in an interview with NBC News.

However, he added that the United States deliberately avoided damaging Iran’s oil infrastructure. “Except, as you know, I didn’t do anything having to do with the energy lines, because having to rebuild that would take years,” he added.

The comments have drawn attention globally because the island is closely tied to Iran’s energy economy.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: US Military Confirms Precision Strikes

The United States Central Command confirmed that American forces carried out a series of coordinated operations targeting military positions. According to the command, the strikes were aimed at weakening Iran’s military capabilities without disrupting global energy markets.

Officials said American forces hit dozens of targets during the operation while ensuring that critical oil facilities remained intact. The announcement came as the US continued its military campaign linked to the broader regional conflict involving Iran and Israel.

Kharg Island Bombing: Attack on Kharg Island Strike Raises New Concerns in the Gulf

Iran has attempted to downplay the level of destruction caused by the recent attacks on Kharg Island, even as the United States claimed it struck a wide range of military targets there. According to American officials, the operation deliberately focused on military infrastructure rather than the country’s oil export facilities.

The US Central Command stated that more than 90 locations on the island were targeted during the strikes. These reportedly included storage areas for naval mines, missile depots and other installations linked to Iran’s defence capabilities. Washington has emphasised that the operation was designed to weaken Iran’s military presence without damaging the energy infrastructure that supports global oil markets.

However, Tehran has warned that any attack on its oil or energy assets would provoke a strong response. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reiterated that Iran would retaliate if its energy facilities were directly targeted.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Why Kharg Island Is Critical for Iran’s Economy?

The importance of Kharg Island lies in its central role in Iran’s oil industry.

The island hosts Iran’s main oil export terminal and serves as the primary loading point for crude oil shipments heading to international markets. Experts estimate that nearly 90 per cent of Iran’s oil exports move through facilities located on the island.

Situated about 300 miles northwest of the Strait of Hormuz, Kharg Island has long been a strategic energy hub for the country. Tankers from the island transport millions of barrels of crude oil to buyers across Asia and other regions.

Because of this role, any damage to the island could significantly disrupt Iran’s economy and global oil supplies.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Iran Issues Warning Over Energy Infrastructure

Iran’s armed forces warned that attacks on the country’s oil facilities could lead to retaliation against energy assets linked to American interests.

Officials said any attempt to damage Iran’s energy infrastructure would provoke strikes on facilities belonging to companies cooperating with the United States in the region.

Iran also accused Washington of using infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates to support the strikes. Authorities urged residents to stay away from locations where US forces might be operating.

The claim has not been independently confirmed.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Trump Claims Iran Wants a Deal

Trump also addressed the possibility of negotiations with Iran in a post on his social media platform. “The Fake News Media hates to report how well the United States Military has done against Iran, which is totally defeated and wants a deal,” he wrote.

However, he suggested that any agreement proposed by Tehran would likely fall short of US expectations. “But not a deal that I would accept! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

So far, Iranian officials have not publicly responded to Trump’s latest remarks.

Iran-US-Israel War Today Update: Rising Tensions Keep Gulf Region on Edge

The exchange of warnings and military operations has heightened tensions across the Middle East. Analysts say the situation could affect global energy markets because of the strategic importance of the Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz shipping route.

With both sides continuing to issue strong statements and military activity increasing, observers believe the coming weeks could determine whether the conflict escalates further or moves toward diplomatic negotiations.
