According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, more than 43,000 flights to and from the Middle East were cancelled between February 28 and March 10. - Air India & Air India Express – Fuel surcharge introduced from March 12. Domestic and short-haul routes will see an additional ₹399 charge. Flights to Southeast Asia will increase to $60 from $40, Africa routes to $90, Europe to $125 from March 18, and North America and Australia flights will include a $200 surcharge.
- AirAsia – The low-cost carrier has raised ticket prices and adjusted fuel surcharges. The airline has not specified the exact increase but said it will continue reviewing market conditions.
- Air New Zealand – The airline confirmed that ticket prices will rise due to higher fuel costs. It has also suspended its earnings forecast because fuel price assumptions have become uncertain.
- Cathay Pacific – The airline plans to double passenger fuel surcharges starting March 18. Long-haul flight charges will increase to HK$1,164 from HK$569, with similar increases expected for shorter routes.
- Finnair – Instead of introducing a separate surcharge, Finnair will incorporate rising fuel costs directly into ticket prices. The airline has also cancelled flights to Doha and Dubai until the end of March.
- SpiceJet – The airline warned that additional surcharges could become necessary if oil prices continue to rise. Founder Ajay Singh said the government may need to consider reducing jet fuel taxes.
- Japan Airlines – The carrier said it currently has no plans to advance its scheduled fuel surcharge revision before April 1.
- Hong Kong Airlines – The airline has announced temporary fare adjustments linked to rising fuel costs.
- Qantas – Australia’s national carrier has also introduced fare adjustments as aviation fuel prices increase.
- Thai Airways – The airline has implemented fare changes due to rising fuel expenses.
- SAS Scandinavian Airlines – The carrier has announced fuel-related ticket price adjustments.
