Israel Lebanon Strikes Latest Update: Fresh violence in the Middle East has raised serious concerns after Israel carried out airstrikes in Lebanon, despite a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh described the attacks as a “grave violation” of the ceasefire. He also accused Israel of carrying out a “massacre” in Lebanon, where heavy airstrikes reportedly caused large scale casualties.

According to Lebanon’s health ministry, Israeli airstrikes killed 182 people on Wednesday. UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper criticised Israel’s actions, calling them “deeply damaging” and warning that they could weaken the fragile ceasefire. She said, “We want to see Lebanon included in the ceasefire,” and added, “We want it extended to cover Lebanon, because otherwise that will destabilise the whole region.” She further noted, “That escalation that we saw from Israel yesterday was deeply damaging, and we want to see an end to hostilities.”

The Israel Defense Forces said it has killed “dozens” of Hezbollah fighters during expanded ground operations in southern Lebanon. According to the military, Israeli forces now have operational control in parts of the region and will continue targeting what they describe as Hezbollah infrastructure.
