It has been found that one of the young killers of Kayden Moy, is linked to a shady criminal gang family from Glasgow. The 15-year-old belongs to the notorious Murray Boys gang. But as he is still a minor, his name can’t be legally disclosed.

The local authorities stated that investigation of the case wrapped up after all three suspects were found guilty. They also stated that justice has been served, but the verdict cannot ease the family’s grief, after the final ruling.

Kayden Moy was a 16 year old boy hailing from East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. His parents, Paul and Ashley Moy, reminisced about him as “an amazing, caring boy who lit up every room he walked into.” He died after a fatal stabbing on 17th May, 2025.

Last year, while hanging out in East Kilbride, Kayden Moy spotted a heated confrontation between two rival groups from East Kilbride, the Murray Boys and the Himshie gang.
Moy, was affiliated with the Himshie gang and tried to play peacemaker between the rival groups. But while trying to intervene, he was fatally stabbed by three boys: Jay Stewart, 18, Cole Turley, 18 and a third, aged 15.

Cole Turley, aged 18 at the time, was one of the killers of Kayden Moy. After the stabbing, he proudly reenacted the stabbing at a friend’s flat and did not show any signs of remorse. He belonged to the Murray Boys gang.

Jay Stewart, also 18, was a fellow member of the Murray Boys and another co-accused in the death case of Kayden Moy. He was responsible for recruiting the 15-year-old into the criminal gang. According to eyewitnesses, he shouted ‘Murray Boys’ during the attack.

Kayden Moy Death: Glasgow Court’s Ruling
The Glasgow Court founded that Cole Turley, Jay Stewart and the minor were responsible for the fatal stabbing. Judge Lord Scott then handed them a custodial remand and deferred the sentence.
“You have been found guilty of murder, and there is a sentence proscribed by law for that. I need information on your background due to your age. In the meantime, you will be remanded in custody”, Judge Scott said at the time.
Kayden Moy Death: Scottish Police Response
Scottish police officer Campbell Jackson condemned the brutal murder and expressed his condelences to the victim’s family. “My thoughts very much remain with Kayden’s parents, brothers and his family and friends for their devastating loss. However, I do hope that they find some comfort in seeing justice being done”.
Officer Jackson also added that Kayden’s death reflected “the devastating impact of knife crime, not only on individuals, but for families and our wider communities”.
