Check here for everything about the London tube strike and the majorly disrupted lines due to the strike.
Major TfL Affected Lines in London
There is no service on Thursday on the Circle line and the Waterloo & City line. The Piccadilly line is suspended between Arnos Grove and Uxbridge, Arnos Grove and Heathrow Terminal 5, and Heathrow Terminal 4 and Arnos Grove.
However, there are also part-suspensions on the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate, and the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street.
Other services, including the Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, buses, and trams, are running normally but are likely to be extremely busy.Â
Heathrow Terminal Disruption in London
The National Rail says major disruption sparked by a points failure at Heathrow will continue on routes to and from Heathrow Airport until 15:30 BST.Â
Travellers who were planning to take a train home from Heathrow Airport have instead left stranded as Tube strikes occur at the same time, with the suspension of Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express services.
Heathrow Express Suspended Amid London Tube Strike
Points failure at Heathrow Express sparked further chaos on Thursday, with Heathrow Express and the Elizabeth line services suspended to and from the airport.
However, earlier Heathrow Airport encouraged commuters to use both lines as alternative routes due to the suspension of the Piccadilly line during today’s London Tube strikes.
Elizabeth Line Suspended to and from Heathrow
Many passengers have been relying on the Elizabeth line today as it is one of the services unaffected by Tube strikes, but passengers who are heading to Heathrow are now facing delays as the line is partially suspended.
However, TfL says there is no service between Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Airport due to a points failure at Heathrow Airport. But, there is good service on other lines.
Disruptions in Travelling due to the London Tube Strike
Passengers have been left stranded on platforms, while bus stops across the capital become overwhelmed and crowded.
However, anyone travelling to or from Heathrow Airport is advised to use South Western Railway services to or from Feltham station for London Bus connections to or from Heathrow.
