Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former US congresswoman, has raised allegations of a “serious H-1B visa fraud” in Texas. Sharing a video posted by an influencer on X, Greene claimed that as many as 700,000 H-1B visa applicants were brought into Texas in 2025. The allegation comes just a month after the former congresswoman resigned from the Congress party.
What did Marjorie Taylor Greene allege?
Greene’s allegations surfaced after the Trump administration introduced fresh immigration rules, including a proposed $100,000 payment requirement for individuals who do not reside in the United States and seek entry on an H-1B visa.
“North Texas seems to have a serious H-1B visa fraud scam going. One immigration attorney brought in over 700,000 H-1Bs in 2025 alone,” Greene wrote while sharing the video.
According to the influencer featured in the video, the H-1B applicants were cleared by a Dallas-based immigration lawyer, Chand Parvathaneni. She further alleged that Parvathaneni had approved nearly 400,000 H-1B visa applications by 2024, and this figure rose to approximately 700,000 approvals in 2025.
Allegations by the influencer
The influencer claimed that the applicants were linked to fake or shell companies, often presented as technology firms but operating out of single-family homes in residential neighbourhoods.

If Republicans were serious about stopping it, they would pass my bill, HR 6937, to eliminate the H1B Visa program.

She further alleged that such businesses were set up in cities like Frisco and other parts of Texas and, despite operating from residential homes, were receiving government funding. The influencer also claimed that North Texas had been “overrun” and “overtaken” by Muslims and Indians.
Who is Marjorie Taylor Greene?
Often referred to by her initials, MTG, Marjorie Taylor Greene is an American politician and businesswoman. Born on May 27, 1974, she entered Congress in 2021. She was President Donald Trump’s staunch ally since that time.
Sworn into office just days before the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, Greene stood by the former president and echoed his claim that the 2020 presidential election had been “stolen,” even as many leaders within the Republican Party distanced themselves from him.
A longtime supporter of Trump, Greene earlier this month introduced a bill, HR 6937, in the US House of Representatives seeking to completely end the H-1B visa program, which allows skilled foreign workers, many of them from India, to work in the United States.
