Nancy Guthrie Latest News Today: The case surrounding the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC’s Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, has once again gone in an unexpected direction after the founder of TMZ, Harvey Levin, disclosed that he had offered to help by paying a bitcoin tipster, whose identity is unknown. 

According to Levin, the FBI did not respond to several attempts to contact them at first and only requested that TMZ stop investigating the case after that while over four and a half months since Guthrie went missing, no arrests have been made yet.

Levin claims that an unknown person kept contacting TMZ to ask for one bitcoin worth approximately $60,000 in exchange for details that would disclose who was behind the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

After multiple attempts at following up, Levin was told by federal agents that they reached out to him asking TMZ to cancel their planned documentary and investigation. In an interview with Levin, the investigators told him they felt they were getting somewhere in finding the anonymous person and that they would like to keep going on their own while the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Office have yet to confirm or deny any of this.

Levin also disclosed details of the latest message allegedly received from the anonymous source while the sender reportedly claimed to possess:

According to the individual, he agreed to disclose the location of the phone once the required bitcoin had been paid. Levin queried why there was a need to invest considerable effort in tracking down the sender if the claims were false.
