The court order in the latter case made Derrick Callella, a citizen of California, get into an inpatient substance abuse treatment program while that happened because he admitted sending fraudulent ransom notes to Guthrie’s relatives. As per the recently filed documents in a federal court, it has been ordered that Derrick Callella needs to undergo inpatient treatment during the process of his sentencing. In case of any violation of any terms, the U.S. Marshals can put him under temporary custody while after completing his treatment, Callella can stay at places which have been approved by pretrial officers. The date for his sentencing has been set on September 10, 2026, where he will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge John C. Hinderaker after entering his guilty plea to two counts of harassment through a telecommunications device.
