Nancy Guthrie Case Latest News: Friction Inside the FBI?

According to a former FBI agent, there might be discord inside the agency regarding the investigation. In a recent interview, retired agent Steve Moore stated “The more I see this, the more I think that there is some significant disagreement within the FBI investigation on what they’re dealing with. Right down to the validity of certain pieces of evidence”.

Moore then added that “perspectives can differ between field offices and FBI headquarters, as well as between case agents and management”. The FBI is jointly investigating the missing person case in coordination with Arizona’s Pima County Sheriff Department.

Nancy Guthrie Case Latest News: Manhunt for ‘Porch Guy’ Renews

A former FBI agent, Jennifer Coffindaffer has once shed the spotlight on the ‘porch guy’ suspect who was seen tampering with the camera on Nancy Guthrie’s Catalina Hills home. While authorities have a clear idea about how he looks, no clear leads about his whereabouts have emerged.

Coffindaffer has pushed for an aggressive search campaign for the guy and urged investigators to ‘plaster his face everywhere’. She suggested that both the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff Department should push stills from the porch footage across local and national outlets, as well as online platforms and community spaces, so that the image becomes impossible for the general public to ignore.

Nancy Guthrie Case Investigation Update: Former FBI Special Agent’s Judgement of Kidnapper

There is a lot of speculation behind the kidnapper who abducted Nancy Guthrie from her Tucson home back in February. But former FBI special agent Chip Massey has pointed out that the kidnapper of Guthrie is quite ‘inexperienced’.

The way he tries to get lower to disguise his gait and height, how he tries to cover up the camera – that’s not something an experienced criminal would do”, he said in an interview.

Massey then added that he  is holding the gun holster incorrectly and wearing a glove size that is too big for him to use the gun properly. He also suggested that blood on the house’s threshold hinted at a struggle between Nancy and the culprit.

“If he were a professional, that wouldn’t have happened, so that tells me he’s an amateur, as does the whole back and forth afterwards (with ransom notes) where they don’t provide proof of life”, Massey explained.
