Journalist and TV personality Savannah Guthrie returned to NBC’s Today Show after a brief absence and finally broke her silence. Meanwhile ex FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer has flagged something that requires immediate concern.

Last week, Savannah Guthrie took a break from the ‘Today Show’ on NBC and her prolonged absence quickly caused concern. But this morning, she returned to the show after four days.
Guthrie received a warm welcome from co-host Craig Melvin who said that she was able to enjoy some ‘much deserved time off’. She stated that during the break, she and her husband watched the FIFA World Cup.

Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer spoke up about the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping probe and shared some of her thoughts on X (formerly Twitter). According to her, the one thing that gets overlooked in the case is the fact that there’s a man on the loose who’s capable of abducting and likely killing an elderly woman.
She stated “Further, although she was targeted (picked as a victim above others) doesn’t mean the same kidnappers for ransom won’t target another rich person”.
Coffindaffer also pointed out the frequency of kidnapping cases in Tucson’s Catalina Hills neighbourhood. After all 2 kidnappings for ransom in 2 days in the same area should be statistically concerning. Wrench by Proxy or a kidnapping by someone who had ties?”. She then said that there’s a “predator on the loose” and emphasised that the case “needs to be solved urgently”.

Data from a mobile app connected to Nancy’s pacemaker. The FBI noted that data was recorded till 2: 28 AM and then abruptly stopped.

Doorbell video footage from her home, which showed a masked man with a black backpack tampering with her claim.
Authorities are actively searching for this man, who is either 5’9″ or 5’10” tall and has a medium build.
Nancy Guthrie Case: Who are the Suspects?
There are no official suspects in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, as per the latest developments. While many suspected that local fugitive Coral Michelle Smith could be a suspect, her involvement was formally ruled out.
The cops are also looking for an unidentified masked man, called the ‘porch guy’ who was caught tampering with Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera. He was carrying a backpack and allegedly tried to obscure the doorbell camera with his gloved hand and some flowers from Nancy’s garden.

The probe for the Nancy Guthrie case is being jointly handled by the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff Department. The latter recently issued a statement which urged users to ‘stay alert’.
“The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is aware of posts circulating about the Guthrie Investigation that include a QR code requesting money. PCSD will never ask for money related to this case, or any investigation. Please do not send money to people you do not know or scan QR codes requesting payment. If you see one of these posts, ignore it and report it. Stay alert and help spread the word”, the statement, signed by Chris Nanos read.
