Nancy Guthrie Case Update: Forensic Veteran Claims A Local May Be Involved
Barbara Butcher, a forensic veteran, who worked with the medical offices of leading examiners recently suggested that a local who suspected the family’s wealth might be involved.
“I find it flabbergasting that anyone would take a woman her age, but what I think is probably the case is that someone in the area, maybe a handyman, maybe a service person, had known, had found out that Mrs. Guthrie was the mother of Savannah Guthrie and said, ‘Oh, she must be rich,” , Butcher said. She then went to add that “this person is not well”.
Butcher also suggested that Guthrie is highly likely to be dead as no ransom was demanded after her alleged abduction. “My second thought was that after time, when there was no solid ransom demand or any information forthcoming that it’s probably likely that Mrs. Guthrie died of shock, fright”, she said.
FBI Deploying New Tools
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) might be deploying new forensic tools and technologies in the case, as per reports. Video forensics, signals intelligence or blockchain analysis might be some of the approaches FBI might consider to uncover critical evidence.
