The suspect shot several rounds, leading to several victims sustaining gunshot wounds. Officials confirmed that no fatalities have been reported so far, though several victims were wounded during the chaos. Early reports suggested that as many as 13 people may have been injured. Some individuals reportedly transported themselves to nearby hospitals before emergency responders arrived.

Ohio Mass Shooting: Police Statement and Official Updates

Interim Police Chief Adam Hennie said officers received the call around 1 a.m. and responded quickly. Officers had already begun working the event, helping to dispatch multiple units to manage the large crowd. Police recovered a firearm at the scene and began collecting forensic evidence. Hennie said authorities believe nine victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to UC Medical Centre and Good Samaritan Hospital.

Police have launched an active investigation but have not released details about suspects or a possible motive, citing the early stage of the probe. Hennie said investigators do not yet know what sparked the violence.

“We do not have any further information on the victims or what started this, or any information on the suspect or suspects at this time,” he said. Kellogg Avenue remained closed as officers continued searching for evidence near Lunken Airport and the Ohio River.
