Over the weekend, Pennsylvania experienced a storm, followed by hot and dry weather. Now, authorities have shared that weather in the state will remain pleasant, but with poor quality due to ongoing wildfires.
Pennsylvania Weather Today: Weather Forecast for Today
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Pennsylvania will face pleasant weather with warm and dry conditions today. Expect sunny skies before an incoming storm brewing over the Great Lakes region takes over from tomorrow, putting the state at a Level 3 risk (out of 5 levels). However, air quality will remain below average. The humidity level is moderate, hovering at 58% today.
Pennsylvania Weather Today: AQI Air Quality Forecast
The National Weather Service (NWS) has clarified that the pleasant weather conditions won’t bring about any improvement in air quality. As a result, code orange air alerts have been issued in 12 counties of the state due to the poor air quality today.
“Smoke from Canadian wildfires will be swept away today… giving way to mainly fair and dry weather expected for Sunday through Monday”, the forecast stated. The current pollutant is PM 2.5.
