Oct 28 (Reuters) - Rio Tinto said on Tuesday its New South Wales-based Tomago aluminium smelter, which has been struggling with high power prices, has started a consultation process with employees on the potential future of its operations. "As a result, Tomago Aluminium has reached a point where it must contemplate ceasing operations at the end of its current electricity supply contract," the miner added.
