Russia Ukraine War Latest News: Protests Persist in Ukraine
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky recently terminated defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov after barely 6 months. Fedorov is a popular leader and the only one to hold some position in all of President Zelensky’s governments. No reason was given for his termination.
However, Fedorov’s sacking led to widespread backlash and caused protests in multiple parts of Ukraine. According to reports, the protests are still continuing in Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa and more. Such wartime protests are rare in Ukraine.
Keir Starmer’s Farewell Message for Ukraine
Outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer previously said that his country’s ‘cast iron’ support for Ukraine will always ‘endure’. And in his recent farewell address, Starmer expressed support for Ukraine, predicting that it will win.

Russia Ukraine War Latest News: What’s Happening in Zaporizhzhia?
Zaporizhzhia in Southeastern Ukraine has always been one of the biggest regions of conflict throughout this war. Now the Kremlin has launched bomb attacks in the region, which killed 3 and injured 15.
Ivan Fedorov, the oblast’s regional governor, confirmed the attack and shared these figures. He also said that both houses & non residential buildings were damaged in a Telegram message that also included images. Rescue efforts are currently underway in the oblast.
Russia Ukraine War Latest News: Kyiv Military Administration Head Dismissed
Tymur Tkachenko, the head of Kyiv’s military administration has been dismissed by President Zelensky. According to a decree published on the presidential office’s website, Tkachenko was dismissed “in accordance with Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On the Legal Regime of Martial Law”. The statement did not provide any reason for his termination but rumours of him not getting along with Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko have persisted for some time now.

Zelensky is currently in the middle of a major political reshuffle in his country as a part of a new ‘major political strategy’. However, his sacking of former defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov has proved to be highly divisive. Aware of the internal discord, he has tried to quell the dissatisfaction by appointing his replacement, Yevhenii Khmara.
“Yevhenii Khmara has gained extensive and, in many respects, unprecedented experience with technological combat operations. This is exactly where our defence efforts should be focused during this war”, Zelensky announced in an X post.
