According to Kiper, the sustained attacks have claimed 28 lives since the start of the month, underscoring the continued intensity of Russia’s aerial campaign against southern Ukraine.

Kiper said residents have been living under near-constant threat, with some days seeing 13 to 15 air raid alerts across the region.

“If you take since the beginning of July, the Odesa region was under constant daily shelling. There were days when 13-15 air raid alerts had been announced in the region,” Kiper said.

The repeated warnings have forced residents to spend extended periods in shelters as air defence systems work to intercept incoming missiles and drones.
