According to the Kremlin, an unexploded Ukrainian weapon suddenly detonated while recovery teams were sweeping an area targeted in an overnight drone raid in the Sevastopol city of Crimea, killing 5. The casualties included four emergency service bomb disposal specialists from Russia’s Emergency Ministry and one local security guard. Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said that the team was trying to diffuse the bomb.

According to multiple reports, the Ukrainian troops recently destroyed air missile systems protecting the opulent mansion of president Vladimir Putin in Gelendzhik. Two attacks over the last week have targeted military assets in Gelendzhik, around 12 miles from the holiday home.
Major Robert Brovdi (“Magyar”), the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, claimed that the S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system protecting the mansion has been destroyed, which means that it is now unprotected.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently made a bold claim with regards to the war. He claimed that Ukrainian forces have recaptured 745 square km (288 square miles) of Russian-occupied land this year across a swathe of the southeastern front in a ‘precision operation’.
“This offensive operation of ours was carried out with precision – exactly as planned,” he said on X. According to reports, multiple territories of Ukraine are currently under Russia’s occupation.

Recently, Ukrainian troops launched a massive drone attack on the Novorossiysk port of Russia. Now, Russian authorities have shared that the attack damaged 2 grain terminals of the port, killed 3 and injured 24.
A child was among those killed according to regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev. Ukraine’s SBU security service said the attack had “strategic significance” while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that two frigates, a large landing ship, a corvette and other vessels were hit. City mayor Andrei Kravchenko confirmed the attack on Telegram stating “Novorossiysk endured a horrific night,”. He also shared that operations at the port have been temporarily suspended.

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has once again asked the US for interceptor missiles. He recently said that Ukraine has “two and a half times less interceptors than we had in 2025”, while the opposite happened with Russia (it fired twice as many ballistic missiles each month according to Zelensky).
Zelensky said he was asking the US to sell Ukraine 5 per cent of its interceptor stocks. “From 1 per cent to 5 per cent… I have some months and millions [of] phone calls and anything else. I do some things which I can’t even share. It doesn’t mean that it’s out of the law. But I can’t speak about it.”, he stated.
