Salata Dressings, LLC, of Houston, Texas, has recalled its Jalapeño Avocado Dressing because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.
The recalled salad dressing was sold at H-E-B grocery stores in Texas & comes in a 12-ounce plastic PET bottle with a black cap. The recalled dates are November 5, November 13, November 18 and November 25, 2026.
Salmonella is a type of bacteria that occurs in all types of foods, ranging from processed nut butters to fresh fruits and vegetables. The bacteria causes salmonellosis, a disease which affects the human digestive tract. With treatment, it can be cured within 4 to 7 days.

The recall was initiated after Salata Dressings was notified by its supplier that diced jalapeños used in the Jalapeño Avocado Dressing could have been contaminated with Salmonella. It then launched a voluntary recall as a precautionary measure and informed the federal health agency Food and Drug administration (FDA).

Texas is the only state specifically identified in the FDA recall notice for Salata’s Jalapeño Avocado Dressing. That’s because the recalled avocado jalapeños dressing was distributed through H-E-B grocery stores only in Texas.
