President Donald Trump refused to advise Ohio Congressman Max Miller to stop his re-election campaign, despite increasing pressure from within the Republican party for him to step down over allegations of abuse made by his ex-wife. US President Trump said it was “very sad” but that he did not want to get involved.
“Well I’m not going to get involved in that.” Miller has vowed to stay in the race.
“It’s a very sad situation and I know Max very well, but it’s very, very sad that a situation like that takes place,” the president told reporters.
