Officials said an 18-year-old suspect entered Patongprathankiriwat School in Songkhla Province carrying a gun. The incident triggered panic as students and teachers rushed to hide while police surrounded the school and launched rescue efforts.

Negotiators and tactical units worked together to contain the attacker. After hours of tension, officers detained the suspect without further violence. "The perpetrator has been captured," Deputy Superintendent Wichian Soboon told Reuters.
