Mark Ruffalo, American actor hailed US president Donald Trump on January 11 during the 83rd golden globe award 2026. His verbal attacks came after a USA Today reporter asked him about the pin he was wearing in his white suit which further bursted into anger and frustration for the US president.
While joining the day to celebrate his nomination for his performance in Task, Mark talked about the moral crisis which the US is facing.

Pointing out to the pin which was quoted with“Be Good” Mark Ruffalo said, “This is for Renee Nicole Good who is murdered”. Mark’s comment about Good was followed by #BeGood campaign tossed by celebrities and organisers in honour of Renee Nicole Good who was shot by US immigrations and customs enforcement ICE agents earlier this week.
Other Prominent figures such as Wanda Sykes, Natasha Lyonne, Jean Smart, and Ariana Grande were seen putting black-and-white pins inscribed with ‘BE GOOD’ and ‘ICE OUT’.

Continuing his statement Mark said “we have a vice president who’s lying about what’s happening, we’re in the middle of a war with Venezuela, that we illegally invaded. He is telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him, the only thing matters to him is his own morality.”
Mark Ruffalo attacked Trump calling him a convicted rapist, a paedophile and the worst human being. “If we’re relying on this guy’s morality for the most powerful country in the world then we are in a lot of trouble.”
“What I am seeing here happening is not America!”
Mark Ruffalo further pointed to the pin and dedicated it to the people of the United States who, according to him, are terrified and living in fear, adding that he considers himself one of them. He expressed his love for the country but remarked that what he is witnessing today “is not America.”
Although he had arrived to celebrate a milestone in his career, he felt deeply saddened and could not remain silent about what he described as the current state of America under Trump’s leadership.
When asked why he still considered this platform useful for spreading such a message, Ruffalo replied, “I want to pretend like this is normal. I am here to celebrate, and I am proud of my Golden Globe nomination.”
\He concluded by saying that nothing feels normal anymore and that he does not know how anyone can simply step away from what is happening.
