Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind President Donald Trump’s social media platform Truth Social, has reportedly discussed charging Wall Street firms and investment companies up to $100,000 per month for premium access to the president’s posts, according to a Reuters report.

The proposed service is designed to give financial institutions a speed advantage by providing near-instant access to Trump’s posts, which have previously influenced financial markets.

TMTG Discusses Premium Subscription Plans

According to people familiar with the matter, TMTG has considered offering a premium subscription priced at $100,000 per month for trading firms seeking the fastest possible access to Truth Social posts.

The company has also reportedly discussed a discounted package of $60,000 per month for customers willing to sign a three-year agreement. The discussions remain private, and the company has not officially confirmed the pricing.

Truth API Targets Financial Institutions

On Thursday, TMTG introduced Truth API, a licensed paid data feed that delivers posts from the platform’s 10 most influential accounts directly to subscribers.

While the company announced the launch of the new service, it did not disclose subscription fees or commercial terms.

The product represents TMTG’s first entry into the data licensing business and could create a significant new source of revenue by serving banks, hedge funds, and high-frequency trading firms.

Democrats Criticize the New Service

The launch quickly drew criticism from Democratic lawmakers. US Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, argued that the service would financially benefit the Trump family while giving an advantage to Wall Street traders. He said the platform would, “make Wall Street traders rich.”

The White House declined to respond directly to Wyden’s criticism and referred questions to TMTG. The company did not immediately comment on the allegations.

Why Trump’s Posts Matter to Financial Markets

President Trump’s posts on Truth Social have repeatedly triggered significant market movements, making rapid access especially valuable for professional investors.

One notable example occurred on April 9, 2025, when US stock markets rallied sharply after Trump announced on Truth Social that he would pause many of his newly announced tariffs for 90 days.

Because financial markets often react within seconds to such announcements, trading firms place a high value on receiving information before competitors.

Milliseconds Can Mean Millions

According to Reuters’ sources, the Truth API could be particularly attractive to high-frequency trading firms, where even a delay of a few milliseconds can determine the success of major trades.

For firms executing large-volume transactions, gaining information fractions of a second earlier can potentially generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in profits.

Financial Times First Reported the Pricing Discussions

The Financial Times was the first to report that TMTG had discussed charging as much as $100,000 per month for premium access to Truth Social data.

Among the platform’s most-followed accounts are President Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and prominent conservative personalities, including Dan Bongino and Sean Hannity.

Although the subscription pricing has not been officially announced, the reported discussions highlight TMTG’s effort to expand beyond social media and monetize its platform through premium data services aimed at institutional investors.
