UPDATE 1-Volvo Cars' sales rise 1% in September

(Adds detail, background in paragraph 2) STOCKHOLM, Oct 2 (Reuters) – Volvo Cars sold 63,212 cars in September, up 1%compared to the same period last year, the Sweden-based company said on Thursday. Volvo Cars, which is majority-owned by China's Geely Holding, said in a statement sales of fully electric cars fell 3%.
