Saree says the planes from Saudi Arabia bombed 52 locations in the areas of Taiz, al-Jawf, al-Bayda, Saada and Amran. He says the bombings of Taiz targeted schools, bridges and roads, which he calls civil facilities. There is no independent verification of these claims.
The Associated Press (AP) separately says a Houthi official claimed the bombing of Taiz by Saudi Arabian planes left three people dead, including two children, while others were injured. This escalation has come amid the wider situation in Yemen, where Houthis have captured territory near the coast of the Red Sea recently while reuters reports that they have advanced toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
