US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: The frail hope of de-escalation in the West Asian region has been dealt another blow after Israel’s military activities in southern Lebanon increased while diplomatic talks involving Iran, the US and Oman failed to make any headway. The latest aerial attacks from Israel have brought back the fears of a possible war of proportions while there were some indications of progress in securing maritime safety in the Strait of Hormuz while simultaneously, Iran has issued an ultimatum to the Gulf countries over the safety of their energy installations.

Israeli troops have renewed air strikes on villages located in the south of Lebanon after accusing Hezbollah of breaching the ceasefire agreement. There were clouds of smoke above Mansouri village after the evacuation alerts, indicating the start of one of the first serious military operations after the ceasefire deal made at the beginning of this summer season. 

According to the reports, there were other air strikes at Burj al-Shemali and Tibnin resulting in heavy casualties and damage while two Israeli soldiers died during the military missions near the border area.

According to reports, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi conveyed to Gulf nations that his country will hit their oil, power and water plants unless they convince Trump to end US strikes on Iran.

As the level of tension increases in the military front, there have been reports of Iran threatening Gulf nations of a retaliatory attack on their critical infrastructure such as oil installations, power plants, water supplies, refineries and transportation systems if they do not ensure that the United States stops its military pressure. This poses great economic repercussions and the Gulf countries represent nearly 30% of crude oil exports in the world, whereas Saudi Arabia produces approximately 9 million barrels of oil per day.

Israeli strikes have intensified across southern Lebanon, hitting homes in villages where displaced residents had recently returned under the ceasefire at least one person was injured and one killed in Tibnin village.

Trump has said he’s “extremely happy” with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and defended the war on Iran. “Everything has been extraordinary,” the US president wrote on his Truth Social platform, referencing the abduction and arrest of former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro before turning to Iran.

“Iran, where the country has been decimated for the purpose of NOT ALLOWING IT TO EVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON, is going very well!” the president added.

The United States has been gradually increasing its maritime sanctions against Iran while calling upon Iran to return to the negotiating table on its nuclear program. US military officials have allegedly turned away several commercial ships as part of their strategy to curb Iran’s trade. President of the United States, Donald Trump has also been supporting the military operations which he claimed to be progressing well towards the goal of denying Iran nuclear capability.

This recent outbreak of violence is a demonstration of how delicate the peace situation is in West Asia and the diplomats continue to meet behind the closed door however, the military operations on the ground are likely to destroy any form of development that has been achieved. As Hezbollah hasn’t made any reaction yet, Gulf states strive not to get involved into the conflict, while talks concerning the Strait of Hormuz have not been finalized yet.
