In this case, the former president of the US, Donald Trump, stated that Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, would not be arrested during his visit to the US, although the international discussion of this problem continues while on the other hand, new attacks against ships near UAE and military actions in this area show that the crisis is developing very fast.

Trump reiterated his support for Netanyahu by saying, “Netanyahu will not be arrested when he comes to the US.” This is after consultations in New York regarding the possibility that the international obligations might hinder Netanyahu’s presence at the UN General Assembly. Iran has also warned that any attempt to take over Kharg Island will have dire repercussions.

The conflict is beginning to impact the world’s shipping industry as UK Maritime Trade Operations said that a commercial ship was attacked 17 nautical miles from the east of Dibba, near Fujairah, resulting in damage to the vessel’s steering system, but all crew members survived unscathed. The US Central Command reported that seven ships were diverted and another ship was rendered inoperative as part of an operation against Iran’s maritime forces with almost 30% of the world’s oil trade carried out through the Strait of Hormuz, the potential impacts could be worldwide.

“As of July 20, the US military has redirected 7 commercial vessels and disabled 1 to prevent the ships from leaving or entering Iranian ports,” CENTCOM wrote on X.
