US-Israel-Iran War Latest Live News: The latest stage of the tension between the United States, Israel and Iran is intensifying the tensions in the Middle East region through the attacks in the sea, interception of missiles and even a diplomatic spat between Israel and the UK.

According to the US Central Command, US troops have been involved in destroying five Iranian oil tankers following two times when the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps used ballistic missiles to attack an American warship in the US Navy.

US Strikes Five Iranian Oil Tankers

CENTCOM has stated that the attacked ships included M/T Kaviz, M/T Charminar, M/T Horizon 1 and M/T Riesco in the Gulf of Oman, while M/T Derya was attacked in the vicinity of Kharg Island.

According to CENTCOM, these attacks came after two failed ballistic missile attacks on an American warship. This ship is reported to have successfully dodged the attacks and proceeded with its patrols. No injuries were reported among US personnel in the attack. The attacks on tankers present yet another facet to this war since Iran’s exports of oil are still economically relevant.

In response, US forces struck the tankers M/T Kaviz, M/T Charminar, M/T Horizon 1 and M/T Riesco in the Gulf of Oman, and M/T Derya near Kharg Island, CENTCOM said.

Jordan Intercepts Iranian Missiles

The fighting has further brought Jordan into a state of increased security threat. According to reports, Jordan’s air defense system intercepted at least eight Iranian missiles which were headed for a US base and other sites within the country, including places around the capital, Amman.

These intercepts clearly show how far the fighting has spread geographically. Jordan has long had the problem of securing its land from attack, while maintaining its strategic relations with the West and neighbouring countries.

Iran Accuses Washington of Failing

The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Aragchi, said that the United States had resorted to further sanctions because it had failed in meeting its military goals. This shows the growing gap between the two sides, and how military action and economic sanctions are taking precedence over diplomacy.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard, meanwhile, has taken credit for the reported massive missile strikes on US forces at Al Azraq base in Jordan, which they claim damaged installations related to the F-35, F-16 and F-15 fighter jets. These claims have not been verified in the sources provided.

“In this operation, aimed at punishing the aggressor, a significant number of ballistic missiles, both solid and liquid fuel, struck the maintenance, preparation, and deployment sites of F-35, F-16, and F-15 fighter jets, as well as their shelters, inflicting heavy damage on the enemy”, the IRGC said in the statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

Florida Congressman Issues UK Warning

The dispute has also been creating political ramifications way beyond the borders of the battle zone. Florida Congress member Randy Fine expressed his concerns regarding the fact that any British companies which comply with the UK boycott of products originating from Israeli settlements might not be able to do business in Florida with their governments. Florida’s anti-boycott laws were raised by him with the example of the previous case with Airbnb in 2019.

Fine said Florida is “one of Britain’s largest trading partners” and that the policy “could cost them billions of dollars”, pointing to the law’s past use against Airbnb’s 2019 settlement-listing policy as evidence of its impact. He also described the UK’s move as a “vanity project in support of Muslim terror”.

Israel Moves Against UK Consulate

The Israelis have stated that they will shut down the UK Consulate in the occupied territory of East Jerusalem, after sanctions were imposed by the UK, France and Canada on goods originating from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. It is a case in point which highlights how economic policies associated with the Israeli-Palestinian issue are now beginning to influence diplomatic affairs. The whole situation has escalated from a mere economic conflict to a diplomatic one.

What Happens Next?

Recent events indicate that the confrontation is being fought on multiple levels: destruction of five tankers, eight missiles shot down in Jordan, two ballistic-missile attacks on an American naval ship, and increasing diplomatic actions against Israel, the United Kingdom and Florida.

The immediate concern is whether these actions remain limited or trigger further retaliation with military operations, sanctions, shipping disruptions and diplomatic tensions unfolding simultaneously, the next stage could have consequences well beyond the US, Israel and Iran.
