US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: The conflict between the US, Israel and Iran continues to escalate, with both the US and Iran launching fresh military operations that have further heightened tensions across the Middle East.

Hours after the US carried out a new wave of strikes on Iranian military targets, the IRGC announced the third phase of its ‘eye-for-an-eye’ operation, claiming attacks on military bases in Kuwait.

As both sides exchange strikes and issue fresh warnings over the Strait of Hormuz, concerns are growing over regional security, global oil supplies and the possibility of a wider conflict.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched the third phase of its “eye-for-an-eye” operation in response to the latest US military strikes on Iranian targets. According to the IRGC, the retaliatory campaign is ongoing and aims to respond to what Tehran describes as continued American military aggression.

The group also warned the United States against increasing its military presence in and around the Strait of Hormuz, signalling that more attacks could follow if the conflict continues.

The IRGC claimed that it targeted two military installations in Kuwait during its latest operation. According to the group, Iranian forces “destroyed” fuel tanks and Patriot air defence systems at Ali Al-Salem Air Base and an FPS radar system at Ahmed Al-Jaber Air Base.

The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate confirmation from Kuwaiti or US authorities regarding the reported damage.

Iran says its retaliatory campaign has unfolded in multiple phases. According to the IRGC:

  • First phase: Targeted Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan, where Iran claimed it set fire to fuel depots and ammunition storage facilities.
  • Second phase: Targeted Sheikh Isa Airbase in Bahrain.
  • Third phase: Focused on military bases in Kuwait following the latest US strikes.

The IRGC said the operation remains active and warned that any further military action by the United States would trigger additional retaliation.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: US Launched Fresh Strikes Against Iran

Before Iran announced its latest operation, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces had carried out another round of strikes on Iranian military infrastructure.

According to CENTCOM, the operation targeted dozens of military sites, including air-defence systems, coastal radar installations, missile launch infrastructure, drone facilities and small military boats operating near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US military said the objective was to weaken Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and ensure freedom of navigation through the strategic waterway.

CENTCOM also stated, “The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade. Iran does not control it.”

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Strait of Hormuz Remains at the Centre of the Conflict

The Strait of Hormuz continues to be the biggest flashpoint in the ongoing confrontation between the United States and Iran.

The narrow waterway connects the Persian Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and carries around one-fifth of the world’s oil supplies. Any disruption to shipping through the route could affect global energy markets, fuel prices and international trade.

Both Washington and Tehran have repeatedly accused each other of threatening maritime security, making the Strait a central focus of the conflict.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: What Happened Before the Latest Escalation?

The latest exchange of strikes follows weeks of rising military tensions across the Middle East.

The United States recently intensified operations after accusing Iran of targeting commercial vessels in the Gulf. In response, Tehran expanded its military activities and warned that any further American attacks would be met with retaliation.

Although both countries have held several rounds of diplomatic talks in recent months, negotiations have failed to produce a lasting ceasefire, allowing the conflict to intensify further.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: Strait of Hormuz Open or Close?

Despite the latest military escalation, the Strait of Hormuz remains open to international commercial shipping.

The United States has maintained that the waterway continues to operate as an international maritime corridor and has deployed military assets to help secure merchant vessels transiting the route.

However, security risks remain high. Iran has repeatedly warned that continued US military operations could affect stability in the Strait, raising concerns about possible disruptions if tensions continue to escalate.

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News: What’s Next?

The latest developments suggest that neither side is ready to reduce military pressure.

Iran says its “eye-for-an-eye” operation is continuing, while the United States has indicated it will keep targeting military infrastructure that it believes threatens international shipping and regional stability.

With diplomatic efforts stalled and both sides exchanging fresh strikes, the coming days could prove critical. Any further attacks near the Strait of Hormuz may increase the risk of a broader regional conflict and create fresh uncertainty for global energy markets and international trade.
